This morning we had a little visitor, unexpected and unannounced. I heard a tapping and flapping sound so I came into the living room to see what all the racket was about. I saw a Black Phoebe flitting around, bumping into the window. She calmed down long enough for me to snap a picture though. Frankie was all ready to pounce, so I put the camera down and quickly grabbed Frankie. The little bird flew straight into the front door. It somehow landed on the wooden muntin, gripping for dear life. Then, just as I was moving closer to open the door, it swiftly flew in the other direction, right through the open French back doors. This is the second bird we've had fly inside. The first one was in the guesthouse a few months ago. I guess the chances are much greater when you leave your doors wide open. Makes sense to me!
