Kevin and the boys were back at it this morning, trying to finish this great wall. I've indicated with a red triangle where they have filled the dip in the bank and where the river has eroded the earth away. Although there is a huge rock under the house and there's no real danger, we want to alleviate any further carving of the hillside. All the new light grey stone and cement you see is what the men built. By hand, they picked up all the rocks and placed them one on top of the other. Now, where you see the arrow, that's how high the water rose during the rainy season last September. Go check out the video Kevin took, it's in the Gallery section of our website. The river is very low at the moment, which is usual for this time of year. So low, in fact, we can walk alongside it for quite a long way. Hopefully, this wall help when the river is at its highest.
