Kevin finished cutting the wooden boards that slide down the grooves of the pond gate where we will be transferring the little trout. They are too big to stay in the concrete container, but too small still to swim with the big trout. Trout are omnivores and will eat those smaller than them. Martin placed the boards one at a time to check if there were any leaks.
Perfect fit... well done Kev!
Once the boards were snugly placed one on top of the other, Martin opened the far gate to let the water pour in and fill the pond. The transfer will take place on Monday, I think.

My husband, Kevin, and I are from Burlington, Ontario, Canada. We decided to leave the cold winters of the Great White North and the hustle and bustle of our busy lives to reinvent ourselves in the beautiful mountains of Costa Rica. The planning stage started in June 2011 and we embarked on our new adventure on August 23, 2012. Welcome to our journey... enjoy the ride.
