The tiny trout that we brought home last month are still in the concrete containers until they are big enough to be moved into one of the ponds. Kevin treats our babies with tender, love and care. He wakes up at the crack of dawn to feed them and clean the water filter. He feeds them again at lunchtime and a third time at 5 pm. This is his routine and he never misses a beat. The reward: they are growing and appear to be very healthy. We've only lost about seven out of 750. Very good odds.
There's always a bit of a frenzy at feeding time and this Trevorette is jumping out of the water to catch her food.

My husband, Kevin, and I are from Burlington, Ontario, Canada. We decided to leave the cold winters of the Great White North and the hustle and bustle of our busy lives to reinvent ourselves in the beautiful mountains of Costa Rica. The planning stage started in June 2011 and we embarked on our new adventure on August 23, 2012. Welcome to our journey... enjoy the ride.
