Kevin bought a digital weather gadget in Canada that measures the temperatures inside the house and outside, humidity in the air, wind speed, wind chill and rainfall. Kevin recently unpacked it and installed it. It's actually pretty useful, which makes it even cooler. I will document to compare the daily temperatures throughout the year. Not only will this help us get an accurate read on what the year's been like, but it will help our guests determine if our climate is right for them. Many people stay away from southern destinations because they feel they will be roasting on a beach, and being hot is not for them. You can, if fact, enjoy this beautiful country and stay away from the sweltering heat. And if you were to search Copey or Santa Maria on the Weather Network, it would consistently say 'rain and thunderstorms', which is completely inaccurate, especially during the summer months! We haven't had any rain for a few weeks, so you just can't trust that information. My reporting of the weather from our property will be accurate. Everyone in the world loves to talk about the weather, and we're no different. This will be fun! Today, I'm recording at few times a day, but on future posts, I will only record 7 am and 1 pm (because we start our day at 7 am, and most days we stop for lunch and get back to work at 1 pm, so it will be relatively easy to record. Who knows where we'll be or what we'll be doing at all the other times (between our chores and teaching English). 7 am: Outside: 11°C (51°F) Feels like: 11°C (51°F) 9 am: Outside: 19°C (66°F) Feels like: 24°C (75°F) 1 pm: Outside: 21°C (70°F) Feels like: 25°C (77°F) 8 pm: Outside: 9°C (48°F) Feels like: 9°C (48°F) Daily rainfall: 0 (it actually rained very lightly for about 1 hour... but not enough apparently to measure any accumulation. We also lost power for about a half hour, which hasn't happened in months)
